Find out how you can support our library. Knoxville Public Library Expansion Project

The library's many programs and services have outgrown its current facility. The rapid growth of technology has made the library a vital access point for computers. We need space for:

  • expanded children, teen, and adult programs and increased attendance
  • increased book and magazine collection
  • a new area for teens
  • more audio and video materials
  • study rooms
  • more seating
  • community meeting rooms that will be available after hours

Our genealogy and historical collections will be maintained in larger areas. Knoxville's current library facility is about half the average size of libraries in other Iowa communities of similar population, while serving 50% more cardholders than average.

We cannot do this without you!

Please consider giving to the Knoxville Public Library Expansion Project. All donations are tax-deductible and can be sent to:

Knoxville Public Library, 213 E. Montgomery, Knoxville, IA 50138

Any donation is appreciated and will be acknowledged in a special Gift and Memorial Book. Gifts from the Supporter level and up will be acknowledged with a colored leaf on our giving tree sculpture that will hang in the new library lobby. Five-year pledges will be accepted. Please also remember us in your estate planning for a lifetime legacy. Please call the library with any questions: 641-828-0585
